Victoria+Greg- St. Louis, Missouri Wedding

Weddings

November 10, 2019

2019 brought so many wonderful things my way reminding me how truly blessed I am to do what I do!
With that being said, and as I’ve said time and time again, my favorite part about my “job” is being able to share the best days of my clients’ lives with them. This is multiplied to infinity and beyond (my kiddo has been hooked on Disney+ all winter break, can you tell?) when it’s the best day ever of people I’ve known over half of my life.
What seems like long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, when Greg and Torri first started dating (or at least made it “Facebook Official”), I particularly remember thinking a couple things; first of all, “Wow, how’d he land her?”, second “Gosh they’re the cutest!”, third ” I really like this, I hope they work out.” and finally (like a creeper) “Man I’d really like to photograph them!”
A little backstory, I’ve known Greg since we were in about sixth grade. We maintained an almost brother-sister-like friendship through high school while he played soccer and I managed the team as well as we were part of a small group for car-pooling to school as we were obviously too cool for the bus (who cares when you don’t pay for gas?!). As far as sweet, beautiful Torri is concerned, I met her in high school and always thought the best of her. If you get the pleasure of meeting her you will too. She just has this air about her of kindness, humility and that you matter. Torri is so passionate about everyone and every cause she cares about. We could definitely use more Torri’s in the world (how about you guys get right on that for me, mk??), but for now, I couldn’t be happier that Greg found the forever person he deserves and loves everything about him (including a slight Halo obsession, see the cake photos below). And I’m so happy that he let’s Torri get the best of him quite often, especially when it comes to fostering sweet pups!

ANYWAY

Greg+Torri had THE BEST DAY EVER. Like. Seriously. THE BEST.
Everyone knows St. Louis weather is anything but predictable, especially in November. But holy moly the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! Torri spent the morning getting ready with her best girls in a swanky, downtown Air BnB (pro tip btw) while the guys hung out in their home munching on snacks and attempting to get a decent photo with their pups.
Piper Palm House certainly did NOT disappoint and the ceremony gave way to the most splendid golden hour ever.
We made our way to The NEO on Locust for some rooftop photos, had a quick moment alone, then the real party began!
Their reception was filled with old friends, colleagues and family members from all over. I personally stayed about an hour longer than I should have just catching up with some guests whom I hadn’t seen in over ten years (ugh, old).
Victoria and Gregory,
I can truly not thank you enough for allowing me the honor of capturing your wedding day and letting me be a part of your love story!
I hope you love these photos as much as I do!
