Kellie+John- St. Louis, Missouri Wedding

So I feel like my couples either have SUPER long engagements, or SUPER short engagements. No in between. LOL! (I’m almost 30, I use LOL still, ok?)
My sweet Kellie and John dated for six years and were engaged for about two of them. They were in engaged so long that I saw them at other couples’ weddings that I photographed, and those couples had gotten engaged and married in that time frame!
But Kellie and John’s wedding day was certainly worth the wait!
If you didn’t happen to be stalking me a couple weeks ago and see their preview, John and Kellie had their engagement session with us in November of 2018. Yes, 2018. It was a crisp below thirty degrees! That day and the days leading up to it were so cold that it froze a waterfall! But the future Mr. and Mrs. Sandman could not be deterred. We walked all around Creve Coeur Lake for over two hours. TWO HOURS. That’s how amazing they are to photograph. I couldn’t stop myself!
Fast forward a year and a half, as predicted at their engagement session, their wedding day was in fact warmer than their engagement session! With a high of 54 degrees, everyone’s spirits were extra high and ready to celebrate this union!
The timeline went off without a hitch all day (which basically never happens lol) and their reception gave me a wedding day first: flying pancakes. That’s right. Kellie and John are so rad, they not only had BREAKFAST for dinner, but the owner of Chris Cakes of St. Louis actually flipped the pancakes AT YOU for you to catch!
Their entire day was filled love, SO laughter and best wishes for a happily ever after. Both John and Kellie’s dads got to speak about their respective kiddos and how proud of they are of the adults they’ve become. Everyone was nothing but supportive and helpful, we couldn’t have asked for anything better and this power couple deserved nothing less.
Kellie+John, I can’t thank you enough for allowing me the absolute honor of capturing your best day ever and taking me along for the ride! I can’t wait to see what your next chapter brings!!
